     I am a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist for a medium sized firm. My career is in cyber defense but my interest is in offensive security. I started my IT career at an MSP back in 2017 working as a bench technician where I mainly handled physical repairs of machines. Since then, I have worked various positions such as helpdesk representative, onsite technician, systems administrator, compliance auditor, and projects engineer before finally landing a job as a Cybersecurity Specialist.

     I have achieved certifications for eJPT (eLearnSecurity’s Junior Penetration Tester), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CompTIA Sec+, CompTIA Net+, and CompTIA A+. I am also in the top 1% of TryHackMe.com’s global users.

     I made this blog as a way to document the things I am learning as I go through them. This may be walkthroughs for TryHackMe rooms, playing with hacking gear, or programming projects. I am not an expert though and you will likely find issues with my methodology or approach. But that is okay! The more I have learned about cybersecurity, the more I understand how little I know. There is a deep well of knowledge in this field that keeps drawing me back.

     On a more personal level, I am an anxious early thirty-something, a new father, a loving husband, an avid gamer, and I love to cook and eat food. Join me while I hone my skills and feel free to email me with questions, article suggestions, or advice.
